About The Procedure

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that targets specific areas of the body to remove excess fat deposits. It involves the following steps:

a) Anesthesia: Liposuction can be performed under local anesthesia, intravenous sedation, or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of the procedure and your surgeon's recommendations.
b) Incision Placement: Your surgeon will make small incisions in discreet locations near the target area. These incisions are strategically placed to minimize visible scarring.
c) Tumescent Solution: A tumescent solution, consisting of saline solution, local anesthesia, and sometimes adrenaline, is injected into the target area. This solution helps numb the area, reduce bleeding, and facilitate fat removal.
d) Fat Removal: Your surgeon will use a thin, hollow tube called a cannula to carefully suction out the excess fat deposits. The cannula is inserted through the incisions and moved in a controlled manner to break up and remove the fat cells.
e) Incision Closure: Once the desired fat removal is achieved, the incisions are closed with sutures or left to heal naturally, depending on the technique used by your surgeon.
